She is a columnist (travel and humor) for her county’s newspaper. She has published in magazines as diverse as Texas Highways, American Jails, The Elegant Texan, and ByLine writers’ magazine. RECAP OF MARCH'S MEETING

Rondi Hilstrom Davis shared her experience with self-publishing which is now referred to as "independent publishing."  Most of her advice in marketing related to authors published by publishing houses as well as the independent published author.  Know your market, know who you want to buy your book.  Narrow the general populace down to one sector - ie: female, age 25 - 30, works in speciality gift shops or metphysical stores, attends Sci-Fi/Fantasy conventions, etc.  A publicist can be beneficial but investigate the publicist, are they are experienced in book publicity, and are you receiving the services you were promised?

Here's a list of Book Distributors including some of the ones Rondi mentioned during her visit.
