The Denton Writers League is a group of readers, and published and unpublished writers who help each other hone their craft through external critique groups, guest speakers, and workshops. The League meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in Denton TX in the Emily Fowler Branch of the Denton Library located at 502 Oakland St. Dues are $15 a year. |

James H. (Jim) Pence is a full-time speaker, singer, chalk artist, writer, and
editor, living in North Texas. Jim turned to writing in 1988 as a helpful means
of expression after the death of his baby daughter Michelle. Eight years later,
Dallas Seminary’s Kindred Spirit published A Road Not Chosen, Jim’s narrative
